The dualistic illusion (Maya) appears as ‘I’.*****

You, your body and the world in which you exist, are within the dualistic illusion, which is present in the form of the ‘I’.
Realize you are not you, your body is not the body the world in which you exist is not the world but they are all made of single clay. That single clay is Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of the consciousness.
Because of ignorance, you think you are an individual separate from the world and the world existed prior to you, you are born in it later on. The ‘I’ is inborn ignorance cause of the experiencing the world in which you exist as a reality whereas the world in which you exist is the dualistic illusion.
By realizing your body and the world in which you exist are made of the single clay and that that single clay is the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of the consciousness you will realize your body and the world what really is in reality.
Thus it is necessary to realize ‘what is what’ the world in which you exist is nothing but the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness.
If you hold your body as the body and the world in which you exist as the world you will not be able to grasp the Advaitic truth, which is hidden by the dualistic illusion (world).
All these experiences as the father, son, Guru, and pupil along with the world in which they all exist were one and the same consciousness appearing differently. All these distinctions disappear when one realizes the ultimate truth.
You will find your own way when you realize the fact that the ‘Self’ is not you but the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness.  The consciousness is God in truth.
The Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).
When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as Brahman (God) other than consciousness.
The Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of the consciousness, is the substance of the dualistic illusion because the dualistic illusion is created out of the consciousness.

The Soul, the Self is birthless and deathless, because, it the ever formless, timeless and spaceless existence.

The dualistic illusion (Maya) appears as ‘I’.

The ‘I’ is present in the form of the mind. The mind is present in the form of the universe. The universe appears as the waking. The waking appears as ‘I’ (duality) disappears as ‘I- less (non-duality).   That is Soul; the 'Self' appears as universe and universe diapers as the Soul. Whatever appears as ‘I’ is the dualistic illusion?

The Soul is the innermost Self. The Soul is present in the form of the consciousness. The Soul is the witness-consciousness that experiences the action, the actor, and the world of separate things. It is like a light that illuminates everything in a theater, revealing the master of ceremonies, the guests, and the dancers with complete impartiality. Even when they all depart, the light shines to reveal their absence. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
